In collaboration with a new customer, a project was successfully completed overseas. In close coordination with the customer
and supplier, around 15 tons of material were processed for the double wings in API/ANSI design. The front-runner was the
DN750 nominal width with 600 kg/unit. After individual labeling and packaging in 12 special sea freight boxes, the double
wings were sent on their way!
In August 2023, ground was broken for the construction of the new AWS Apparatebau warehouse. The stock-space will be
expanded by 900 m² with the new building. Currently, this represents a 65% increase in pallet storage space. In addition, this
has created free space for the installation of a vertical carousel racking system – safe and clean storage, increased picking
speed and reduced space requirements while expanding storage capacity. The hall roof was completely equipped with PV
elements. The company anniversary was then celebrated in October. 
Together with long-termed partners on the customer side as well as on the supplier side, a great dual-plate order could be realized.
From the foundry to shipping, the experienced team worked constructively hand in hand. The smooth handling shows that the
customer's trust has paid off. Below are a few impressions of the valves with nominal diameters of DN300 (12"), DN450 (18") and
DN600 (24").

A great project for a central water supply for a European customer. AWS 916 model - retainerless design for highest operational reliability.
Also the special face-to-face dimension specified by the customer could be implemented without any problems.

Next project for bigger sizes (DN400, 450 and 600 among others)!
This is another interesting project for swing check valves wafer type (ZRKs), stainless steel from DN80 (3“) up to DN600 (24“) – with Teflon seat, all suitable for ASME B16.5, ANSI 150 flange.
The photo shows a small part of the ZRKs - DN600 and DN400 as examples.
The specific challenges:
- incl. casting process, machining, assembling and testing we were able to shorten the ambitious target delivery time of 14 weeks by two weeks
- all valves had to correspond with Leakage rate A – EN12266, even with PTFE seat.
The FLOW CONTROL YEARBOOK is a comprehensive reference book with contact and company data of the German-speaking valve, stainless steel and pump industry. In the new publication at the beginning of December 2020, we are also included with an advertisement.
In addition to company advertisements, the work contains detailed information on fundamental topics from the process industry, technical information as well as quality characteristics of the products. Furthermore, the yearbook contains an overview of the national associations and organizations in the field of flow control, as well as a 5-page table of the most important technical terms in German, English, Russian, Turkish and Italian.
On September 8 and 9, 2018, the EBM-Papst Marathon took place for the 23rd time in Nidernhall. The marathon is one of the largest running events in the Hohenlohe region. There were again 11 different disciplines to choose from.
As in previous years, the AWS Racing Team participated in the run in 2018.
